Distributed Process Control

Stepper Motor Applications
The application of a stepper motors and stepper controls in modern automation equipment is usually reserved for smaller automation where postiion feedback is not critical. Steppers can provide a positionable axis without the expense or complications of a closed loop servo system.
Vacuum Applications
Vacuum applications are popular in various handling automation where a vacuum cup or cups are used to pick up and release parts during the handling process.  The vacuum circuits require special consideration in the design of the pneumatic control circuits where the control valves must function in negative pressure.
